Mumbai Indians management shocked everyone in the recently concluded IPL 2022 Mega Auction, sitting out most of auction, confusing everyone as what is their plan in the auction.

But when the a particular names was brought up in the Auction in Jofra Archer, they went all guns blazing, fighting off his former franchise Rajasthan Royals to acquire his services for 8 crore.

Following which, there was no questions as to why the Mumbai Indians' think-tank preferred to sit out most of the time in the Auction before the England pacer Jofra Archer's name was brought up.

Jofra Archer was a member of the Rajasthan Royals squad in the Indian Premier League before the auction. He was groomed by the franchise, making him one of England's top pacer. But he wasn't retained by the franchise due to his injury.

Jofra Archer was eventually not included in the Auction too as he decided to skip this year's IPL to recover from injury. But he changed his mind and put his name late in the Auction, also confirming that he won't participate in IPL 2022.

While most of the fans expected Archer to go unsold, but seeing a bidding war between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals, surprised everyone, where eventually Mumbai came out infront. Now he will be partnering Jasprit Bumrah in Mumbai Indians from IPL 2023.

Fans are quite excited to see the duo team up together. However, before that, a old tweet of Jofra Archer has resurfaced on Social Media, where he criticized Jasprit Bumrah in the latter's 2nd season in the IPL.

Archer's tweet is dated back from the 19th May in 2014, where he tweeted, "Hate to seem Bumrah bowl." That very same day, on the 19th May in 2014, Bumrah was in action against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, where he conceded 23 runs from his 3 overs.
