A Young RCB Fan Lashes Out Gautam Gambhir After He Slams Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore has once again witnessed the exclusion from the 13ty edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 and they have to wait for another year to try for their maiden title.

However, after their exclusion, they have faced several criticisms, including the captain Virat Kohli, who once again failed to take the team to the final. In the do or die game, they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad. With the defeat, RCB’s journey has also ended in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League as well.

RCB has never won the title in these past 12 years, despite reaching the final a couple of times. However, fans always support their favourite team despite their dismal show, and recently, they tweeted on social media with ‘#ThankYouVirat’ and ‘#RCBianForever’ which also started trending on social media too.

On the other hand, several cricket experts have shared their views on Kohli’s leadership skill and one of them was former India opener Gautam Gambhir, who slammed Kohli and suggested to leave the captaincy of RCB as well.

Meanwhile, in a recent video, which went viral can be seen that a little RCB fan named Yamu has criticized Gambhir for referring Virat Kohli as the ‘worst captain’. He also shared the records of Virat Kohli as a batsman and lashed out at Gambhir by citing that he is nowhere close to Virat Kohli when it comes to his cricketing records.

Meanwhile, the two-times IPL winning captain Gautam Gambhir criticized Kohli and claimed no other cricketer would have given this much opportunities.

Gambhir said: “Eight years is a long, long time. Look at what happened to R Ashwin. Two years of captaincy [for the Kings XI Punjab], he couldn’t deliver and he was removed. We talk about MS Dhoni, we talk about Rohit Sharma, we talk about Virat Kohli…not at all. Dhoni has won three [IPL] titles, Rohit Sharma has won four titles, and that’s the reason they’ve captained for such a long time because they’ve delivered. I’m sure if Rohit Sharma wouldn’t have delivered for eight years, he would have been removed as well. There should not be different yardsticks for different people.”

He further added: “The problem and the accountability starts from the top, not from the management nor the support staff, but from the leader. You’re the leader, you’re the captain. When you get the credit, you should take the criticism as well.”
