Captain Rohit Sharma lauds the Mumbai Indians' better halves for their constant support in IPL 2020

The Mumbai Indians made history by becoming the first IPL franchise to lift the trophy in India and outside India. Before IPL 2020, the Mumbai-based team had not won a single match in the United Arab Emirates. However, they broke that losing streak and topped the points table with some magnificent performances in the league stage.

Continuing their form in the playoffs, the Mumbai Indians beat the Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 1 and the grand final to win their fifth championship. The MI Paltan was not present in the stadiums to cheer for their team this year, but the better halves of the Mumbai Indians team ensured that they get the support that they need.

Led by Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh, the female brigade of the Mumbai Indians attended the IPL 2020 Final and ensured that their team wins the final. Yesterday, Ritika put up a post on Instagram, with all the ladies in the group.

Her husband Rohit Sharma commented: “Best Cheerleaders” to thank them for their support. You can check the comment here.

The Mumbai Indians will be keen to complete a hat-trick of wins in IPL 2021. The other teams have already started to plan for the next season. It will be interesting to see if the fans could return to the stadiums next year or not. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has declared that the next season will happen in April-May window only.

Mumbai Indians’ all-rounder Hardik Pandya dedicated this win to his new born baby Agastya. Meanwhile, the photos and videos from behind the scenes have gone viral on the internet. Uncapped players Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan made a strong statement to the selectors with their performance in IPL 2020. The next focus of the fans right now is the upcoming Australia vs India series.
