James Neesham leaves a funny comment on Jasprit Bumrah's post

Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan tied the knot earlier this year, on the 15th of March. Bumrah had missed the recently completed Test series against England. All the uncertainty buzzing around his absence was put to bed when he finally married Sanjana Ganesan, a TV presenter in a private ceremony in Goa. 

On the occasion of Sanjana’s birthday, Bumrah took to social media and posted an adorable photo with a sweet caption. “Happy birthday to the person who steals my heart every day. You’re my person, I love you”, the India international posted. With the IPL T20 tournament being postponed until further notice, Bumrah will be looking to spend some quality time with his wife after their marriage. 

However, with IPL just gone by, his Mumbai Indians teammate decided to take a dig at him. James Neesham, the New Zealand all-rounder, jokingly commented, “Thought you were talking about @trrrent_ for a minute,” referring to fellow countryman and Mumbai teammate Trent Boult. 

James Neesham made his MI debut in IPL 2021

James Neesham has just played his debut for the Mumbai Indians against arch-rivals CSK after being snapped up by the franchise. MI bought him at a base price of INR 50 Lakh in the auction ahead of this season.

However, Boult and Bumrah are the mainstays in the team, leading the bowling attack. The Kiwi was transferred to the Mumbai outfit via a trade deal with the Delhi Capitals before the start of last season. Ever since, the Paltan’s bowling line-up has become stronger, as if it wasn’t strong enough already!

IPL has been postponed indefinitely after an official statement from the BCCI, and the IPL-GC broke out in the news. The players have been asked to return to their home countries, with BCCI reportedly searching for an empty window to conduct the remaining matches in the group stage and the playoffs for this season.
