Scott Styris predicts RR to finish last in IPL 2020; see how Rajasthan responded
Rajasthan Royals was the first team to win the Indian Premier League. Playing under Shane Warne’s captaincy, the Jaipur-based franchise won 11 matches in the league stage and then defeated Chennai Super Kings in the final to win the IPL trophy.
However, the next few seasons were not so good for Rajasthan. The team failed to make it to the Top 4 in multiple seasons. After winning the IPL title in 2008, the franchise has not played a single IPL final in the last 11 years.
The team management has made a host of changes to the squad in the last few years. They even traded out their former skipper Ajinkya Rahane to the Delhi Capitals in the trade window. Steve Smith will lead the team in IPL 2020, and their squad comprises Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and many other match-winners.
However, Scott Styris, who is a former Deccan Chargers and Chennai Super Kings player, has opined that Rajasthan will finish last in IPL 2020. The former Kiwi all-rounder predicted how the points table of IPL 2020 would look like after the league stage. He placed Delhi Capitals at the number one position, and the other three teams in the top four were Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Chennai Super Kings.

Thoughts ?
Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Kings XI Punjab held the next three positions and Rajasthan Royals sat at the eighth place. The franchise took note of his predictions and commented on his tweet as follows:
“Just casually saving the tweet here.”

They gave a cheeky reply to Scott Styris in this manner. Steve Smith’s men will have the onus of proving everyone wrong because very few fans expect them to win the IPL title in 2020. It will be interesting to see if Styris’ prediction proves to be right.
