The Indian cricket team has a hectic schedule for the year 2021 as their qualification in the ICC World Test Championship Final has put a question mark over their participation in Asia Cup.

However, now that the ICC World Test Championship Final will happen in England, BCCI has reportedly taken the call to not call the players back after the final. According to TOI, India will quarantine for 14 days before the final match of ICC World Test Championship Final.

Then, the Indian team will get adjusted to the conditions in England for the subsequent Test series against the hosts. In case, the Asian Cricket Council does not change the window for Asia Cup 2021, India will likely field a B team in the competition.

After coming back from the United Kingdom, Team India will host South Africa and New Zealand in back-to-back white-ball series. This series will help the Proteas and the Kiwis prepare for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, which will happen in India.

October-November will likely be the window for the ICC T20 World Cup followed by a home Test series against New Zealand. In the second half of December, India will play South Africa in a full-fledged away series.

Also, there is a T20 World Cup at home along with the Indian Premier League in April-May. It will be exciting to see how the Indian stars perform in the year 2021.
