Twitter Ecstatic As Ruturaj Gaikwad Hits His Maiden IPL Century Against Rajasthan Royals

Ruturaj Gaikwad was the star of the batting innings for Chennai Super Kings against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday. Ruturaj scores a ton off the last delivery of the batting innings

Ruturaj's form at the start of IPL 2021 was not encouraging. He was coming off an underwhelming domestic season and with a few poor scores in the initial games, many called out the CSK management to drop him.

However, Rutu stuck to his task and at the moment, he is turning out to become CSK's best batsman for the season. He also holds the Orange Cap of IPL 2021 at the moment. Against RR, although he started a little slow, he made a meal of the spinners in the RR attack and scored plenty of runs during the middle overs.

However, the situation was such that he needed five runs of the final two balls of the batting innings to get to his century. He played a dot ball on the penultimate delivery and hit a six off the last ball to get to his maiden IPL century.
