T Natarajan, in a heartwarming and emotional statement, revealed that he yet to see his daughter. The yorker-specialist mentioned this in a recent interview.
The emergence of T Natarajan
Coming from a difficult background, T Natarajan made a name for himself with his performances in TNPL. He even fetched a huge bid for his first season in IPL. However, playing for KXIP, Natarajan could not make a big impression.
Later, Sunrisers Hyderabad hired him to their impressive pace-battery. Although the atmosphere was great to develop his game, the left-arm pacer failed to get ample opportunities to show his skills. Until the 2020 season, Nattu remained below Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Siddharth Kaul, Basil Thampi, and Khaleel Ahmed in the pecking order.
However, the 2020 edition proved to be a breakthrough campaign for the player. He played every game for SRH and was extremely lethal with his bowling at the death. The consistency at which he bowled yorkers earned him the tag of 'Yorker Natarajan'. Though he was not there in the initial squad to Australia, he got the opportunity replacing his fellow statemate Varun Chakravarthy. The sensation has now already reached Australia to represent India.
'Yet to see my daughter'
In one of the recent interviews, Natarajan revealed that he is yet to see his daughter. The kid's birth coincided with the player's IPL commitments. With him now playing for India, the wait has become longer. He said that, so far, he has looked at his daughter only in video calls.
Well, that's an emotional phase to go through for the youngster. A few years ago, even MS Dhoni was there in a similar situation. The sacrifice the players go through to entertain us is immense. On the other hand, we troll them, and even go to the extent of abusing them. It is high time that we start respecting these men of achievements.
