Ben Stokes replies to a fan who accused him of bowling more in IPL than on national duty
Adding the full stop to the India vs. England series, the world is all set to witness the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League, which will mark its beginning from 9th April 2021. Even though the series didn't favor the visiting side, with India emerging victorious in all the formats, the players are now ready and in the complete swing to join the mega league. Members from the recently concluded India - England series have already started joining their camps. The franchises have started sweating out in the field with players and management trying their best to grab the trophy this year.
The 29-year old English all-rounder Ben Stokes will be in a good mental space to perform at IPL after having a mind-boggling series against the Men in Blue. The star player managed to smash 422 runs, with format division 203 in Test's, 135 in ODI's, and 84 runs in the T20 format of the game. His best batting performance came in the 2nd ODI, where his innings of 99 runs helped England clinch victory over India by six wickets. His bowling performance was phenomenal as he grabbed 12 wickets from that series and hoped to continue the same form and even make it better for the Indian Premier League.
However, right before the start, an angry fan has taken to Twitter to question the English player's preference of IPL over national duty. The fan wrote, "Chasing a pound note again, once back in an England shirt will be too tired to bowl." This tweet reflects how the fan is angry over the player opting for money above English Jersey and being tired when bowling in international matches. This is not the actual situation from Stokes' point of view, which is clearly showcased in Stokes' reply. In return, Stokes gave a befitting reply that stated, " When have I ever been too tired to bowl in an England shirt pal?"

Rajasthan Royals will be playing their first match against Punjab Kings on 12th April 2021. However, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Banglore are the two sides that will clash in the opening game of IPL 2021, which will be a battle to watch out for. It would be interesting to see who lifts the title this year as every side will be trying their level best to do the same.
