Tokyo Olympic 2020 in 2021 is still on, and India has won 4 medals as of writing this; the whole has been nothing sort of history for India. And one of the most historical of them all is the Bronze medal in field hockey.

The Indian men's national hockey team came from behind to snatch the Bronze medal against Germany by 5-4 in favor of the blues. This is after 41 years that India won an Olympic medal in field hockey. Everyone on the hockey team is a hero for India, but the most prominent hero has to be India's goalkeeper, Sreejesh Parattu Raveendran (PR Sreejesh).

Throughout the whole Tokyo Olympic 2020, PR Sreejesh was an unbreakable wall in between the sticks. He continued his form against Germany as well. But, PR Sreejesh has become the talk of the country due to some other reason.

PR Sreejesh's old tweet after the quarter-final exit in the Rio Olympic 2016 has gone viral on social media since today morning

The Indian hockey team suffered a defeat against the Belgium hockey team in the 2016 Rio Olympic quarter-final by a 3-1 scoreline. After the match, the Indian goalkeeper tweeted, "Rio over...pain remains...sorry for letting you down," with a sad emoji in between the tweet.

But finally, the dream and a 41-year wait ended today when India went past the German hockey team 5-4 after the final whistle. The German at the start took the lead in the first quarter, but Germany came straight back into the match with two goals in just a couple of minutes. But India scored twice towards the end of the 1st half and 2nd quarter to equalize on 3-3.

India then made it 5-3 in the 3rd quarter. 4th quarter was all about defending the two-goal lead, and PR Sreejesh was, as usual, standing like a wall in between the sticks. However, Germany still managed to find their fourth goal of the match. Time ran out for Germany as Manpreet Singh led the Indian team to create history.
