Sarfaraz Ahmed misses an easy stumping to dismiss Moeen Ali

Pakistan has toured England to play a three-match Test and T20I series where the former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has finally made it to the cut in the playing XI of the Pakistan team in the third and final T20 International match against England in Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester. He was removed as the captain of Pakistan after their poor performance in the 2019 ICC World Cup in England. Even, the wicket-keeper batsman's poor show with the bat led him out of the playing XI.

After staying out for four games, Sarfaraz Ahmed finally selected in the playing XI but he failed to use the opportunity. The final T20I on Tuesday had started with England winning the toss and elected to field first as well. While batting first, Pakistan put up a decent total of 190 runs at the end of the 20 overs due to the stunning knock of an unbeaten 86 runs by Mohammad Hafeez and a stable 54 off 33 balls by Haider Ali as well.

With the top-order batsmen did the job, Sarfaraz didn’t get to bat. However, he failed to do well with the keeping gloves as well and left everyone disappointed behind the stump.

While chasing Pakistan’s 190, England faced trouble and was reduced to a mere total of 86 runs with the loss of four wickets. The job looked easy for Pakistan as England's Moeen Ali was the only one who had the ability to take England to the finish line.

While the team had a chance to run out the left-handed batsman and finish the match as early as possible but Ahmed left an easy chance to dismiss Moeen Ali behind the stumps. On the fourth ball of the 11th over, he stepped out of the crease to hit the delivery of Imad Wasim for a boundary or maximum but he failed to connect with the ball with the bat. Sarfaraz Ahmed, who was standing near the stumps hold the ball but didn't break the stumps as he took a lot of time to do it which gave huge time to the batsman to reach back to its position.

His action proved wrong as Moeen Ali later scored a 33-ball 61 although, Pakistan won the match by 5 runs due to the stunning bowling show by Shaheen Afridi and Wahab Riaz.
