2 Indians who played only in T20 World Cup and never played another T20I

At times, the careers of cricketers could be strange. They could play at a big event and then never get a chance to play in any other competition. Some Indian cricketers have played at the T20 World Cup but were dropped after the event and never earned a chance in the Indian T20I Team again. On that note, in this article, we take a look at two Indians who played only in T20 World Cup and never played another T20I.

1) Joginder Sharma - 2007 T20 World Cup

The bowling all-rounder from Haryana made his T20I debut in the first T20 World Cup in South Africa. In this tournament, he had a few decent outings. In the final, he bowled the last over and although he looked like he would wilt under pressure, he later took the all-important wicket and helped India win the trophy. However, after this game, Joginder never played a T20I for India. Even in IPL, he did not find success. He is currently away from the game and is a police offer in Haryana.

2) L Balaji - 2012 T20 World Cup

L Balaji is one of the Indians who played only in the T20 World Cup and never played another T20I. Thanks to his performances in the IPL, Balaji got a place in the Indian Team for the 2012 T20 World Cup. It was a comeback for him because a few years before, he was a part of the ODI setup. Balaji played a few games in the T20 WC but did not get a chance again in the T20I setup. His IPL form, too, gradually declined. Currently, he is with the Chennai Super Kings in IPL as a bowling coach.
