2 players who played in 50-over 2019 World Cup but are nowhere near Team India right now

Team India did well in the 2019 World Cup but unfortunately lost in the semi-finals of the competition. However, with the 2023 World Cup scheduled in India, the men in blue will be keen to erase the memories of the past and go on to win the trophy. While the core of the current squad will be retained from the 2019 World Cup unit, some of the players who were part of that event are not in consideration for the competition in 2023. It will be a comeback of the ages if these players do find a place in the team for the 2023 World Cup. On that note, in this article, we take a look at two players who played in the 50-over 2019 World Cup but are nowhere near Team India right now. We have not considered MS Dhoni, who announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020.

1) Vijay Shankar

Vijay Shankar was a surprise selection by India for the event in England. In the lead-up to the event, Vijay had done well in a few games. Since he also had the capability to offer a few overs with the ball, India took him to England. However, he was ruled out due to an injury after playing a few games. Since then, he has hardly played for India. His IPL form has also been poor. He is not in consideration right now with regards to Team India.

2) Kedar Jadhav

Kedar Jadhav is one of the players who played in the 50-over 2019 World Cup but is nowhere near Team India right now. Kedar is one player who was backed in a middle-order role. He also did well with some fine performances, both with the bat and the ball. However, his performances tapered off and he was eventually dropped. Even Kedar is extremely distant from Team India at the moment.
