3 Indian players who could make their debut in Ireland T20I series
Team India will be involved in two T20I encounters against Ireland in June. The games will be held on the 26th and 28th of June. Hardik Pandya will lead the side that will be without the regulars who will prepare for the one-off Test against England. The team is brim with newcomers and hence, we could see some fresh faces don the Indian jersey. On that note, in this article, we take a look at three Indian players who could make their debut in the Ireland T20I series.
1) Umran Malik
Jammu & Kashmir's Umran Malik warmed the bench in the home series against South Africa. However, he could get to make his debut against Ireland. This is because he will be under lesser pressure and the conditions could also aid him. India will need some quick bowlers in those conditions in the future and hence, the development process of Umran could start from the Ireland series.
2) Rahul Tripathi
Rahul Tripathi is one of the Indian players who could make their debut in the Ireland T20I series. Ruturaj Gaikwad did not do well in the home series against South Africa. Hence, the management could be prompted to hand a debut to Maharashtra cricketer Rahul Tripathi. At No.3, as well, Rahul could be experimented although it is likely that Suryakumar Yadav or Sanju Samson will get first preference.
3) Arshdeep Singh
After a long time, India has a promising left-arm pacer at its disposal. Arshdeep Singh is known for his exploits at the death but he could also be useful at the start of the innings. His profile is something India has been searching for a very long time. India must invest in the youngster and the Ireland series could be the right time to expose him to international cricket.
