3 players with a salary of over INR 5 Cr who are yet to play a game in IPL 2023

The dynamics of IPL mean that even some popular players may not get a chance in the playing XI. This is happening even in IPL 2023. A few cricketers, who are drawing a salary in excess of INR 5 Cr have not played a single game till now. It could be due to various factors. On that note, in this article, we take a look at three players with a salary of over INR 5 Cr who are yet to play a game in IPL 2023.

1) Quinton de Kock (LSG) - INR 6.75 Cr

It is purely down to the form of Kyle Mayers that QDK is yet to feature for LSG this season. QDK arrived late to IPL 2023 due to international commitments and by then, Mayers had already impressed the management. Since then, the player has only gone up in strength and hence, the South African opener has not played so far.

2) Josh Hazlewood (RCB) - INR 7.75 Cr

Josh Hazlewood is one of the players with a salary of over INR 5 Cr who are yet to play a game in IPL 2023. It is due to a different reason that Josh has not played for RCB. He came late to IPL due to a fitness issue and ever since he arrived on April 14th, he is improving his fitness. Nevertheless, he is all set to play for RCB soon.

3) Shivam Mavi (GT) - INR 6 Cr

When GT went for Mavi in excess of INR 6 Cr, many felt that he would play all the games. However, the likes of Yash Dayal and Mohit Sharma have played but Mavi is yet to get a chance till now. This is surprising because of the player's salary and also that he had a decent outing for Team India recently.
