5 cricketers who will be a part of the core of the Indian Cricket Team between 2023 and 2027

If you take a look at India's core in recent years, we can include names such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. However, this is set to change in the next cycle of world cricket. On that note, in this article, we take a look at five cricketers who will be a part of the core of the Indian Cricket Team between 2023 and 2027.

Team India will undergo drastic changes from 2023. Be it in the Test squad for a new edition of the World Test Championship or in the limited-overs squad after the ICC events, India's core will have a fresh look from next year. Some players have already cemented their spots in that squad.

1) Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant is one of the cricketers who will be a part of the core of the Indian Cricket Team between 2023 and 2027. In the past few years, Pant has always been a part of all three formats. Now, the wicket-keeper will assume greater responsibility with the bat and might also become captain in one of the formats. It would not be a surprise if Pant also becomes an opener in the shorter formats, which would further increase the value of him.

2) Jasprit Bumrah

Ever since his debut, Bumrah has been a part of India's core. This would continue in what would be the peak of his cricketing years between 2023 and 2027. Bumrah recently led India in a Test match and he is a serious contender for this role after Rohit Sharma.

3) Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya has returned back to prime fitness. Although his spot in the Test Team is still a question, in the other two formats, Hardik is a very important member. In all likelihood, he will also become captain of the T20Is in the future. Hence, the all-rounder is also one of the cricketers who will be a part of the core of the Indian Cricket Team between 2023 and 2027.

4) Suryakumar Yadav

SKY had a late debut for Team India but he is a very important part of the team. He is a modern cricketer with respect to his intent and shot construction. Test debut might also happen in a few months. Therefore, he is a part of this group of cricketers.

5) Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda is also one of the cricketers who will be a part of the core of the Indian Cricket Team between 2023 and 2027. India is slowly identifying multi-utility players to serve the squad. Deepak Hooda is one of them who has done well in this regard. He has shown his skills in the shorter formats and would not be a bad addition to the Test squad, as well. Therefore, it is likely that he will be a part of the setup in the next cycle of world cricket.
