5 players who could make their international debut after IPL 2023

Team India is in a transition period and we can expect a lot of debutantes in 2023. Especially after IPL 2023, a few players could get their chances if they do well. This is relevant for other countries, as well. On that note, in this article, we take a look at five players who could make their international debut after IPL 2023.

The T20I squad is open to a lot of new faces. Even the ODI setup could do with a few fresh names if they fit the requirement of the squad. The challenge for all these aspirants will be to do well in the upcoming season of IPL. The same holds good for other nations, too.

1) Tilak Varma

Tilak Varma is one of the players who could make their international debut after IPL 2023. India might need a left-hander in the middle order. With Rishabh Pant out for a while, Ishan Kishan is not sufficient as the only option. Therefore, if Tilak does well in IPL, there is a chance that he could get an opportunity to represent the nation.

2) Dewald Brevis

It is just a matter of time before Dewald Brevis puts on the South African jersey. Yes, he is still raw and has a lot of scope for improvement but South Africa is looking for a superstar material and Brevis is a player whom they can invest in. To start with, the team can have Brevis in the T20I setup, at least.

3) Mohsin Khan

Mohsin Khan is also one of the players who could make their international debut after IPL 2023. Mohsin has hardly played any cricket after IPL 2022. He has suffered from injuries and hence, he has been unable to show his skills further. Nevertheless, with Arshdeep Singh showing inconsistency, India might plan a backup left-arm pace option. Mohsin is one player who can bowl quick and can also move the ball both ways. Hence, he is an apt investment for the future.

4) Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar has been travelling a lot with Team India but is yet to get his debut. However, if he does well in IPL 2023, he could stand a chance. He is good against spinners and has also been consistent in domestic cricket. Therefore, he is on this list.

5) Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal is also one of the players who could make their international debut after IPL 2023. Ishan Kishan is not consistent in the T20I format and hence, Yashasvi could be a left-handed opening option for India. Yashasvi must do well in IPL 2023 for that to happen.
