Here's why Suresh Raina keeping Gujarat Titans favourite over Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022 Final

 

Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals will meet in the IPL 2022 final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday evening. Gujarat Titans won Qualifier 1 against Rajasthan Royals, and the Sanju Samson-led side beat Royal Challengers Bangalore in Qualifier 2 to advance to the final. It will be fascinating to observe how both sides react under pressure in front of a huge crowd. Former India batter Suresh Raina has said that Gujarat Titans will have a slight edge over the Samson-led Rajasthan Royals as they have had a good 4-5 days of rest.

Speaking on Cricket Live on Star Sports, Suresh Raina said, "I think Gujarat Titans will have a slight edge over Rajasthan Royals in the finals because they've had a good rest of four-five days and also due to the tempo they've been in this season." He also said that Rajasthan Royals should not be underestimated, especially with the kind of form their star opener Jos Buttler is in.

Meanwhile, former South Africa captain Graeme Smith said that the summit clash of the Indian Premier League 2022 is going to be epic. He added that both the finalists have got quality batting and bowling unit. He said it's going to be a fantastic competition and he is looking forward to it, and he also believes that the attendance at the Narendra Modi Stadium will be larger than in Qualifier 2.

Greame Smith has also said that Rajasthan Royals will have an advantage as they have already played a match in this pitch and they are used to this conditions. He said, "However in a  one-off game if one of the big players rises to the occasion and puts in a massive performance, it gives the team a huge lift." Both of these teams have match-winners on their rosters, making the IPL Final the most exciting yet.
