"He is a champion player" - Mohammed Rizwan backs Virat Kohli to come out of the lean patch

Virat Kohli is a world-renowned brand in the game of cricket. In his 15-year cricketing career, he has accomplished many feats and set records that many cricketers wish for. He was also chosen as the cricketer of the decade, and many players admired him and his batting style. However, the last couple of years haven't been great for him.

It's been over two years since he scored a century and he has played 105 matches across all formats without reaching the three-fugure mark. During this time, he has appeared in 17 Tests, 21 ODIs, 25 T20Is, and 42 IPL matches. There is always a phase in the career of a cricketer when he goes through a rough patch. That is the reason that many fans and cricketers still believe that he will bounce back to his absolute best.

And that is what Pakistani wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan believes about the former Indian skipper. During a conversation with Cricwick, Rizwan discussed Virat's poor form and expressed his desire for him to return to form as soon as possible. He said that the former Indian skipper is a champion player, but at the moment he is struggling a bit, but everyone can pray that we will see him making runs again because he is very hard-working.

The wicket-keeper batsman also pointed out that every cricketer has to go through tough times, but it also gets easier after a certain stage. He also added that every player who scores a century has also got out on zero, and that is the way it goes on. Rizwan concluded, "I can pray for him and I am hopeful that, through hard work, he will control all the things."

The former Indian skipper has also struggled in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. In 12 matches this season, he has scored 216 runs with an average and strike rate of 19.63 and 111.34, respectively. He has only scored the 50-run mark once and already registered three golden ducks.

Many ex-cricketers, including a former Indian head coach, have questioned his bad form and asked him to take a break and stay away from cricket to freshen up himself. However, Virat replied that now he doesn't listen to such a buzz as no one knows how he is feeling.
