Harsha Bhogle picks his ideal Playing XI for Mumbai Indians for IPL 2022
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is set to start from the 26th March, which is about a week away from now, and you may wonder will the Mumbai Indians' Playing XI be like, after a massive reshuffle in the Auction. Harsha Bhogle has picked his ideal Playing XI.
Mumbai Indians is the most successful franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), having won the Trophy 5 times, 1 more than the next best Chennai Super Kings, who have won four Trophies.
Mumbai Indians had to take some bold decisions going into the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, and during the Auction as well. He had managed to retain the core as Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard were retained. While they managed to bring back Ishan Kishan and added Tim David, Jofra Archer, albeit he will play from next year only.
Harsha Bhogle cut the task short for many Mumbai fans as he picked his best possible Playing XI for Mumbai Indians going into the IPL 2022.
Harsha Bhogle picked Mumbai's captain Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan as the opening pair, while young Tilak Verma was positioned in at number 3. India International Suryakumar Yadav will come in at number 4.
Kieron Pollard and Tim David follows them after at number 5 and 6, both known for their power hitting abilities. Daniel Sams is another all-rounder who has been picked.
The two spin bowling options are Murugan Ashwin and Sanjay Yadav, while Jasprit Bumrah will lead the bowling attack. For this season, Harsha Bhogle has picked either of Tymal Mills or Riley Meredith as Bumrah's partner, but also mentioned that there is no doubt that Jofra Archer will partner Bumrah from IPL 2023.
