"He has got more shots than any other batsman" - Ravi Shastri on Sanju Samson's chances in T20WC Squad

Sanju Samson is an Indian international cricket player who plays first class cricket for kerala. In IPL he has played for Delhi Daredevils now known as Delhi Capitals and now he is the captain of Rajasthan Royals franchise. Sanju Samson has also scored a fastest double century in List A cricket in Vijay Hazare trophy match between Kerala and Goa.

As we all know the T20 World Cup is fast approaching, former Indian team head coach Ravi Shastri backs Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson as one of the contenders for the Indian middle order. Sanju Samson had a decent season in IPL 2022 with the bat and he also led Rajasthan Royals to their second final after the inaugural season of the IPL where they beat Chennai Super Kings.

Ravi Shastri believes Sanju Samson will be suitable for the bouncy pitches in Australia where the T20 World Cup will be played later this year. Shastri believes it will be a fight for one place in the squad between Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer and Rahul Tripathi. But Ravi Shastri said that taking the conditions into account, Sanju Samson has got more shots than any other batsman.

While there has been much discussion over Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's futures following their recent poor form, Ravi Shastri believes that they will be flying to Australia for sure unless an injury occurs. In the run-up to the T20 World Cup later this year, India will play 30 games. Many youngsters will get to play some games in their 30's, hope they grab these opportunities.

India will compete against South Africa in a 5 match T20I series starting from June 9. The series opener will be played at Delhi. KL Rahul will miss this full series due to an injury. In his absence Rishabh Pant will lead the Indian team and Hardik will be his deputy. With KL Rahul not playing, the CSK and MI openers Ruturaj and Ishan respectively will get to pair up with each other for the first T20 International at Delhi.
