"I don't see that type of steal happening" - Ravichandran Ashwin advices CSK to be ready to spend money to buy back former star

 

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Mega Auction is just now 2 days away and the fans are quite excited about it. And former CSK player Ravichandran Ashwin has named one player who will be expensive this time around for them to buy back.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has hit reset button as we go into the new season of the IPL, which is likely to take place from the last week of March.

But before that, every teams will have to build their squad in the upcoming IPL 2022 Mega Auction set to take place on the 12th and the 13th of February.

While reflecting on the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player Ravichandran Ashwin named Faf du Plessis as a tough buy back option.

Faf du Plessis has been one of the very reliable member of the Chennai Super Kings franchise and played a key role in the CSK's title glory last year and finished as the 2nd highest run scorer in IPL 2021, only behind his teammate Ruturaj Gaikwad.

In a video uploaded on his YouTube channel, former CSK player Ravichandran Ashwin stated that it will be very tough to get him back after they got him for 1.5 crore the last time. He added that there could be a bidding war for the former South African captain.

He stated, "Last time around, CSK stole Faf du Plessis for 1.5 crore. But this time, I don’t see that type of steal happening for him."

He added that CSK need to be ready to spend a lot more than what they paid for him the last auction and believes that Faf du Plessis will be in huge demand and sought after name in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

The IPL 2022 Mega Auction will take place in Bengaluru on the 12th and the 13th of February, where each franchises will assemble their squad before the IPL 2022.
