Bumrah has grown under Rohit to become India's best bowler at the moment

It was in Mumbai Indians that Jasprit Bumrah made his IPL debut. He still plays for the franchise and is an important member of Rohit Sharma's Team India right now. Having been involved closely, many would be curious to know as to the relationship between the duo. R Ashwin also had the same question. 

Bumrah said, "It's been very good (Relationship) since the early days." He said that he gave and instilled a lot of confidence in him from the initial days. Bumrah also mentioned that Rohit always backed him and placed trust in his skills. He said, "He would give me the important overs. It's been the same relationship."

On what's happening right now, Bumrah revealed that he has freedom in setting fields and in other tactics. He finished off, saying, "Under him, I have got the freedom to do whatever I want. That has really helped me."

The duo will be important for India's immediate future

Jasprit Bumrah will now be Rohit's deputy in the leadership department. India has a few important tournaments coming up. It is significant that the relationship between both continues to be the same. India is under pressure to win ICC events and Bumrah will have to be at his best for India's bowling to work. While the T20 World Cup is the first assignment, the big task will be the World Cup at home in 2023.
