"I know we lost but" - KKR Co-owner Shahrukh Khan reacts to KKR's loss against Rajasthan Royals

On Monday, the world saw one of the nail-biters of a game when the Kolkata Knight Riders took on the Rajasthan Royals. It was a game of close finishes and the result came in the final over of the match. Both teams had their chances, but in the end, it was the Rajasthan Royals who came out victorious and got two vital points moving ahead. A total of 427 runs were scored in 39.4 overs, and it was a total run for their money for the specatators.

After winning the toss, KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer asked RR to bat first. And guess what? It was once against the bat of Jos Buttler that did the talking. The English swashbuckling opener scored his second century of the season. He scored 103 runs off just 61 balls, including nine fours and five maximums. Skipper Sanju Samson (38 off 19), Devdutt Padikkal (24 off 18), and Shimron Hetmyer (26* off 13) also played their part. RR ended their innings with the highest team score of the season, 217/5.

Chasing the big target, KKR lost their first wicket on the very first ball of the innings when Sunil Narine got run out. But after that, Aaron Finch and skipper Shreyas Iyer added a quick 107 runs for the second wicket in just 53 balls. It was looking like KKR would win very comfortably, but then came the match-winning spell from the veteran leg-spinner Yuzi Chahal. He changed the game completely in favour of RR by taking five wickets, including a hat-trick in the 17th over of the innings.

KKR lost four wickets in that over for just two runs and ended the match 7 runs short. It ended as one of the thrillers in the history of the IPL, when both teams were equal till the very last over. KKR co-owner Shahrukh Khan also praised the efforts of his team. He took to his official Twitter account and tweeted and asked his team to take the confidence forward and keep their heads high.
