Major change likely in IPL 2022 Final match timing: Report

 

The league stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has now reached its final stage, a big news has come out about the final match of this season which will be played on Sunday, May 29, at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. It is being said that a big change has been made in the timing of the final match of this season.

According to Cricbuzz, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 final will start at 8 pm instead of 7:30 pm as usual. Currently, all evening matches start at 7:30 pm, however, the BCCI has decided to change the timing of the final as the closing ceremony of the IPL will also be held on the same day.

Along with this, it has also been learned from the BCCI and IPL officials that the closing ceremony, which includes Bollywood celebrities, is scheduled to start at 6:30 pm and will last for 50 minutes. The toss will take place at 7:30 pm and the match will start exactly 30 minutes after that.

Let us tell you that this time, all the league matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 have been played in Mumbai and Pune, but all the matches of playoff will be played in Kolkata and Ahmedabad. 

Eliminator and final will be held in Ahmedabad, for which preparations are already being made in full swing. The Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is the largest cricket stadium in the world, is expected to attract lakhs of people to watch the final match.

This season, Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans have already made their place in the playoffs of IPL 2022. At the same time, the battle for the remaining two places is on fire between Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals.

Meanwhile, news has also arrived that BCCI can take an important decision regarding the timing of IPL matches. From next season, the matches played in the afternoon can start at 4.00 pm instead of 3.30 and the evening matches can start from 8.00 pm instead of 7.30.
