New Zealand veteran Daniel Vettori predicts Top 4 teams to qualify for playoffs of IPL 2022

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has hit its peak and as accepted, it is all living up to the hype before the start of the competition. This year's competition turned out quite unpredictable.

There was always a big hype for the Indian Premier League 2022 after the induction of two new teams in the competition from Ahmedabad and Lucknow, while there was a Mega Auction held pre-season.

With the induction of the two new franchises, the IPL also got a small tweak to its format, where all the teams have been divided to 2 groups, but will continue to play 14 matches in the league stage.

What makes the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 even more exciting is the fact that the two of the most successful teams in the competition, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings is currently hanging bottom of the points table.

Whereas, there is a big fight going on at the top of the pile, with multiple teams competing to top the points table. The two new franchises Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants are also in the mix.

All in all, predicting this year's top 4 is not a easy task at all. Former New Zealand cricketer and captain Daniel Vettori has taken the challenge of predicting the top four.

During an interaction with the ESPNcricinfo, Daniel Vettori picked the Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Lucknow Super Giants as his pick for the top 4 in the IPL 2022.

While one would agree with all the picks from Vettori's end, but still is is quite surprising how he has left-out Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are currently going through a great run after a poor start to the season.
