"Ravi bhai has seen reality of situation" - Virat Kohli opens up on Shastri's comment of "taking a break"

The bad form of Virat Kohli has been the talking point in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. He has struggled in the first 13 matches of the TATA IPL 2022. However, he played a match-winning knock against Gujarat Titans last night to win the match for RCB.

With that knock, he silenced the critics who were questioning his bad form. The former RCB skipper has also opened up about his bad form just before the match against GT. During a Star Sports cricket show called "RCB Insider," Virat also discussed Ravi Shastri's suggestion to take a break.

The former head coach earlier said that the 32-year-old needs a break from cricket and is overcooked because of non-stop cricket. Kohli said that Ravi Bhai has been very close to him for the last 6-7 years.

He also said Shastri knows about all the situations he has gone through and all the ups and downs of playing non-stop cricket in all formats and playing in the IPL for 10–11 years, that too, captaining the side for seven years.

The former RCB captain also opened up and said that there is no issue with taking a break because of the unlimited cricket.

Furthermore, he said that it is all about finding the right balance that one needs to create before going forward. However, Virat also said that he will discuss this with Rahul Dravid and the BCCI.

He said, "I’ll definitely discuss this with all the people involved – Rahul bhai, the Indian team management, everyone to chart out whatever is best for myself and for the team definitely."

RCB won the match against GT by 8 wickets. Batting first, Gujarat set a target of 169 and Virat Kohli played beautifully for his 73 runs, and with a cameo from Glenn Maxwell in the end, helped RCB to win and get two vital points on the board. Now they will wait for the result of the DC and MI match.
