Report: Ravindra Jadeja to leave CSK in IPL 2022?

One of the most successful franchises in the Indian Premier League and the next successor to MS Dhoni are not on the same page. Some media reports have confirmed that Ravindra Jadeja and CSK will part ways in the next season of the IPL.

Earlier, the news of the rift between the two became the talk of the town. And now, as per some news, it is learnt that the all-rounder is planning to make himself available for the next auction in 2023 to look for some other offers from the other franchises.

As per the report by The Times of India, both CSK and Jadeja haven't had any contact since the conclusion of the last season of the IPL. The report further suggests that since last season, neither CSK nor Jadeja tried to be in touch, either online or with any kind of offline activity.

After handing over the captaincy to MSD again in the mid-season, the all-rounder cut off all connection with CSK. During his rehabilitation at NCA for his rib injury, he didn't inform anything to the franchise irrespective of his contract with the CSK. Jadeja also deleted all the posts related to the franchise from his personal social media handles.

He was also not part of the CSK video to wish MSD on his birthday. Jadeja was part of CSK for the last 10 years since 2012, and was also an integral part of the title wins in two seasons. That's why he was made the captain of the side in 2022.

However, it didn't turn out to be the right decision as CSK lost six games out of their first eight and he was later removed from the captaincy. He himself underperformed and managed only 111 runs with three wickets in eight games.

Just after removing him from the captaincy, he was also ruled out of the tournament due to injury after a couple of games. And it sparked speculation of something wrong between him and the CSK. And with the franchise having unfollowed the all-rounder, it indicates that the tie between the two has come to an end.
