Ryan Burl, who once wore "Torn Shoes" smashed 34 runs in one over to create the World Record in 3rd T20 vs BAN
Zimbabwe all-rounder Ryan Burl set the stage on fire, and it was his innings that helped the hosts to reach a competitive total of 156 runs, which proved to be a winning one in the end. Burl played a blinder of a knock of 54 off 28 balls, with two fours and six maximums.
However, it was a bit rusty at the start. The all-rounder was on 9 off 14 balls when the hosts were at 76/6, but the 15th over changed the momentum towards Zimbabwe. Nasim Ahmed, who came out to bowl, bowled the second-costliest bowler in T20I history. Burl took him to the cleaners.
Notably, the same all-rounder caught the attention of the world for a very strange reason in 2022. Last year, Burl posted a picture on Twitter, showing his torn shoes and asking anyone to sponsor shoes for the Zimbabwe cricket team.
