Meanwhile, former Australian cricketer and all-rounder Shane Watson has picked 2 finalists for the World Test Championship 2021-2023 season. Shane Watson was quoted by the ICC as saying that it will be unbelievable if South Africa and Australia doesn't make it to the final of the World Test Championship 2021-2023.
"Right now, the way I see it, it’s going to be hard for South Africa and Australia to not make it. They’re both playing really good cricket," Watson said.
While talking about the chances of India or Pakistan making it to the final, Watson added that they can't be ruled out and that he would be really surprised if one of the two teams doesn't challenge for the top 2.
"You can never discount India and Pakistan because they’ve got so many match winners outside of their home countries as well. Those two, I’d be very surprised if they don’t come knocking on the door leading into the final," the Aussie signed-off.
