South African Imran Tahir ditch CSA T20 League to join MI Emirates for UAE T20 League
South African star cricketer and leg spin bowler Imran Khan made a huge decision and ignored the upcoming Cricket South Africa (CSA) T20 League to take part in the UAE T20 League, the International League T20 (ILT20) with the MI Emirates.
With the introduction of the new UAE T20 League and the South African T20 League, the cricket world has erupted with both teams battling to get some of the top players of world cricket signed-up to play for their league.
The CSA T20 League have done quite a great job in recruiting the marquee players such as Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Faf du Plessis among a few. However, South African international of Pakistan origin, Imran Tahir has decided to overlook the CSA T20 League and has instead joined a team in the UAE T20 League among the battle between both the leagues for players.
Imran Tahir is somewhat a legend to South Africa and have been a very successful bowler for the African country. Having played in more than 150 matches for South Africa, Imran Tahir has picked up more than 230 international wickets.
The 43-years-old still possesses the quality he had during his prime days. However, in what is a very surprising decision, Tahir has ditched CSA's T20 League and has ILT20 side MI Emirates, confirmed by the team in a list of 14 players published by them today.
Along with Imran Tahir, MI Emirates have done some great signing, picking-up their IPL star for Mumbai Indians, Kieron Pollard along with West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran and all-rounder Dwayne Bravo and Trent Boult among some big names.
