The whole New Zealand team gave a "Guard of Honour" to Aaron Finch in his farewell ODI

On Saturday, the Australian white-ball skipper, Aaron Finch, announced his retirement from the One-Day internationals. He also announced that the third and final ODI match of New Zealand's tour of Australia on Sunday will be his last match in the 50-over format.

Finch will continue to lead the Men in Yellow in the T20 internationals. And in his last ODI match, the whole New Zealand team gave him the "Guard of Honour" when he entered the field to bat in the first innings of the match.

All the Kiwi players were seen lined up and applauding when he entered the crease in Cairns. The New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson, went up to him ahead of the third game and congratulated him on his last ODI innings.

Speaking of the match, Williamson won the toss and chose to bowl first. In the absence of David Warner, Josh Inglis came out to open with Finch. However, both openers were out cheaply. Finch got out after scoring five runs off 13 balls in his last ODI innings.

Tim Southee got his wicket. Notably, Australia has already won the series by winning the first two ODIs. The Men in Yellow won the first game by two wickets, and they won the second ODI by 113 runs. It was the 146th ODI game for Finch.
