"This is Ridiculous"- Fans show their frustration that Tahila McGrath allowed to play after testing Covid+ vs India in CWG 2022 final

The final match of the women's competition of the Commonwealth Games 2022 between India and Australia is underway. The Women in Yellow won the toss and chose to bat first. They made a competitive total of 161/8 in their first innings. India needs to chase a target of 162 runs in 20 overs.

The star of the match was Beth Mooney, who scored her 13th fifty in T20 internationals. She made 61 runs off 41 balls with eight fours. But one thing that didn't go well with the fans around the world was Tahila McGrath, who featured in the playing XI for Australia.

Notably, McGrath was tested for COVID positivity ahead of the final game, but she was still allowed to play in the match. She didn't come out with her teammates during the national anthem and was sitting in the dugout wearing a mask on. But she came out to bat at No. 4.

However, Cricket Australia confirmed the news of the all-rounder featuring in the final. But after the consultation of the medical team, she was allowed to take part in the match.

This is the first instance in international cricket that a player was allowed to play in a match even after testing positive. McGrath was asked to follow the Covid protocols strictly. However, it didn't go well with the fans on social media, and they rightly showed their frustration on Twitter.
