Watch: KL Rahul drops Mehidy Hasan Miraz's catch, who wins Bangladesh 1st ODI; Rohit Sharma losing his cool

The first ODI game between India and Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday ended in a low-scoring thriller. Eventually, it was Bangladesh that held the nerve to pull off one of the biggest wins in their cricket history.

An unbeaten 51-run partnership for the 10th wicket for the hosts sealed the deal for Bangladesh. From 136/9, the hosts went on to win the game with four overs to spare. With this victory, Bangladesh has also taken a 1-0 lead in the series.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz along with Mustafizur Rahman (11) added the match-winning partnership in the end, which was the highest 10th wicket partnership against India in ODIs. Miraz kept his cool and scored an unbeaten 38 runs off 39 balls, with four boundaries and two sixes.

India bowled well at the start but leaked runs in the end. However, apart from bowling, India also made mistakes in the fielding department that cost them the game. The biggest moment came in the 43rd over when Shardul Thakur came out to bowl.

On the third ball of the 43rd, Miraj tried to pull the ball for a big shot, but it took the edge and went high in the air. Rahul, who was keeping, went running towards the third man and settled himself the ball, but he couldn't grab it as the ball bounced from his gloves and Miraz survived a big chance.

KL Rahul scored 73 off 70, while Shakib Al Hasan picked up his fourth ODI five-wicket haul. He ended up taking 5/36 in his ten overs. Now both teams will lock horns in the second ODI game on Wednesday, December 7 at the same venue.
