The third day of the fifth Test match between India and England was full of action and fireworks. However, the fans also saw a rift between Jonny Bairstow and the former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, that certainly charged up the English wicket-keeper and he ended up scoring his third successive century.

The 32-year-old English batter took the Indian pacers apart and hit them all over the ground. He was the lone saviour and carried on with his rich batting form. Notably, he is this year's leading run scorer in tests. He has now scored 880 runs, including five centuries in 2022.

He played the innings, which was totally controlled and was a kind of "Bazball" innings. He ended up scoring 106 runs off 140 balls, till Mohammed Shami came back after lunch and dismissed him caught behind by Virat Kohli.

But it certainly looked like the argument between Virat and Baristow had charged the English batter. Many cricketers and fans thought that the former Indian skipper had just poked the needle a bit.

As a result, it hurt India in many ways, as Bairstow helped India to come out of misery and challenged India. New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham, who is very active on social media and is known for his funny tweets.

India scored 416 in their first innings with the help of Rishabh Pant (146) and Ravindra Jadeja (104). In response, England scored 284 runs in their first innings, courtesy of a century from Bairstow. India got a healthy first innings lead of 132 runs.

For India, Mohammed Siraj picked up four wickets, the highest for India, while Bumrah got three wickets. Shami and Shardul got two and one wicket, respectively. So the game is heading towards an exciting finish and it will be interesting to see how the second innings for both teams will end.
