Aakash Chopra picks his Underperforming XI of IPL 2021

Former Kolkata Knight Riders batter Aakash Chopra recently formed a playing XI of the cricketers who could not perform well in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. The 2021 season of the Indian Premier League ended yesterday in Dubai with the Chennai Super Kings beating the Kolkata Knight Riders by 27 runs in the final match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Aakash Chopra recently released a video on his official YouTube where he formed the Underperforming Playing XI of the 2021 IPL season. He started the list with two overseas cricketers, one from the Rajasthan Royals and the other from the Punjab Kings.

Liam Livingstone opens the innings for this team along with Nicholas Pooran. Both batters were expected to play big knocks for their respective Indian Premier League franchises. However, the same did not happen in IPL 2021.

Following Livingstone and Pooran were the two left-handed batters Suresh Raina and Eoin Morgan. Raina had started the season with a half-century against the Delhi Capitals, but he failed to get going in the other matches. Meanwhile, Morgan’s team reached the final, but the captain failed to score even a single 50 in the tournament.

Another all-rounder from the RCB franchise to appear on the playing XI was Daniel Christian. The two bowlers of this team were Ravichandran Ashwin and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
