Alexandra Hartley wants RCB to sign Glenn Maxwell in IPL Auction 2021

The Royal Challengers Bangalore released some big names like Chris Morris, Moeen Ali, Isuru Udana, and Aaron Finch ahead of the IPL Auction 2021. The Bangalore-based franchise has three foreign slots available in their squad before the auction.

While the BCCI has allowed all teams to sign a maximum of eight foreign players in their squad, the reason why the Royal Challengers Bangalore have only three slots vacant is that they traded in Australian all-rounder Daniel Sams from the Delhi Capitals.

They still have three foreign players’ slots available in the squad, and England women’s team player Alexandra Hartley, who is a huge fan of the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise, has suggested that the team should sign Glenn Maxwell in the IPL Auction 2021.

English county cricket team Lancashire asked its fans to suggest which team should sign Glenn Maxwell in the auction. Alexandra was quick to respond that the Royal Challengers Bangalore should go after Maxwell in the IPL Auction 2021.

Glenn Maxwell had a forgettable IPL season with the Kings XI Punjab in the United Arab Emirates. He scored 108 runs for the Mohali-based franchise in 13 matches. Also, he dismissed three batsmen with his right-arm off-spin. Notably, Maxwell failed to score a single half-century and even failed to hit even one six in the entire competition.

Since the Kings XI Punjab had signed him for 10.75 Crores in the auction, they decided to end their association with Maxwell before IPL 2021. All teams will still likely bid for Maxwell because he is a game-changer, who returned to form in the series against India.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore could likely sign Glenn Maxwell because he has achieved much success at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The flat track will be excellent for his batting. It will be intriguing to see which player gets Maxwell.
