Alyssa Healy reacts to Team India's unhappiness with hotel facilities
Australian women’s cricketer Alyssa Healy, who is also the wife of Australian men’s team fast bowler Mitchell Starc, has reacted to the Indian cricket team’s disappointment with the hotel facilities in Brisbane.
Healy had a bizarre reaction to the reports claiming that the Indian cricket team was not happy to make their beds, clean their toilets, and do other things on their own in Brisbane’s hotel. Also, the food aspect was also there. Alyssa Healy retweeted Fox Cricket’s news and mentioned that the women’s team of Australia and New Zealand had quarantined at the same hotel last year. However, as a shock, they survived, as per Healy’s tweet. Here’s what she wrote:
“The Aus and NZ women’s teams did their quarantine in the same hotel last year. Here’s a shock - we survived”
Several Indian cricket team fans pointed out that the players had been staying in bio-bubbles away from home for quite some time. Some fans even shared screenshots of Mitchell Starc’s interview where Alyssa Healy’s husband claimed that bio-bubbles had a lot of impact on the cricketers. Starc said it was tough to live in bio-bubbles for an extended period.
Here’s what Alyssa Healy replied to one of the fans:
“There’s a few Aus players who haven’t been home since July - haven’t heard them whinge yet.”
Thus, Alyssa Healy indirectly compared the Indian cricket team’s complaints to that of Australia and said the Australian players did not complain once even though they were away from home since July. This is not the first time Alyssa Healy has made her presence felt on Twitter with her views. During the Women’s T20 Challenge announcement, she was unhappy over the fact that the dates of the tournament in the United Arab Emirates clashed with that of the Women’s Big Bash League. Even Suzie Bates was upset then.
