However, one weird and rather funny incident happened in the second ODI on Saturday. The second ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand was called off due to umpires changing the size of the 30-yard ring.

The match in Rawalpindi was briefly halted after the first over when umpires were spotted asking ground officials to correct the measurement errors. According to a report on the Geo News website, a Pakistani news channel, the pitch was modified after the first over was given with incorrect measurements.

Aleem Dar, a well-known umpire in the cricket world, then corrected the incorrect length by measuring the distance in steps. The uncommon and humorous incident sparked tremendous mocking on social media, and the action was delayed for six minutes before it started.

Meanwhile, Pakistan started the ODI series with a win in the first ODI on Thursday. New Zealand posted a challenging total of 288/7 in the first inning. Daryl Mitchell scored a brilliant century in the first inning. He made 113, with 11 fours and one six.

Chasing the target, Pakistan got off to a good start, with Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq (60) adding 124 runs for the first wicket. Fakhar scored his ninth ODI hundred and made 117 off 114. Babar Azam (49 off 46) and Mohammad Rizwan (42* off 34) also batted well to help their team win the game.
