MS Dhoni or Rohit Sharma? Harbhajan Singh names the toughest batter to bowl to
MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma are the best captains in the Indian Premier League. Not just because of their captaincy and their contriution with the bat has helped their team win the IPL trophies in this league. Rohit is known as a dangerous opener while MSD is probably the best finisher in the IPL's history.
Rohit made his captaincy debut for the Mumbai Indians in 2013 and has led them to five titles in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020, respectively. On the other hand, MSD has led CSK to four IPL titles in 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021.
But apart from the captaincy, these two are among the biggest power hitters in the tournament, and bowlers find it hard to bowl against them because both of them can play spin and pace bowling well. But who among these two is the most difficult to bowl to?
Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has revealed who, among two legends, is hard to bowl against. In an interaction on Star Sports, Bhajji said that MSD made a huge impact on the game with his batting but Rohit is currently the most dangerous batter to bowl to.
Harbhajan said, "Rohit Sharma, any day, any time. Very difficult batsman to bowl to. I didn’t bowl a lot against Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Rohit Sharma, if we are talking overall, had a very big impact. Dhoni used to be a one of the most dangerous players as a finisher, but if Rohit bats from the beginning to the end, then there is no better player than him."
Harbhajan made his IPL debut in 2008 for Mumbai Indians and stayed with the franchise until the 2017 season. He took 127 wickets for MI in 136 games and was part of 2013, 2015, and 2017 IPL wins. Then, he joined CSK in 2018 and played 24 games and took 23 wickets and was part of 2018 IPL win.
