3. England (444/3) against Pakistan at Nottingham

This was the 3rd match of the series between Pakistan and England at Nottingham. After winning the toss, English skipper Morgan chose to bat first. And that was the history written on that day. The home team lost the wicket of Jason Roy (15) early, but then Alex Hales and Joe Root added 248 runs for the second wicket.

Hales scored an incredible century of 171 off 122, including 22 fours and four maxiums. Root scored 85 runs. In the end, an unbeaten partnership of 161 runs between Jos Buttler (90* off 51) and Morgan (57* off 27) helped them to score 444/3 in their 50 overs. Chasing the target, Pakistan were bowled out for 275, handing England the win by 169 runs.

2. England (481/6) against Pakistan at Nottingham

The second highest total in ODI cricket came against Australia at Nottingham on June 19, 2018. Australia won the toss and asked England to bat first. But that decision didn't go their way because the home team just came out all guns blazing. They added 159 runs for the first wicket and 151 for the second wicket to lay the right platform.

Jason Roy (82 off 61) and Morgan (67 off 30) scored half-centuries, and Jonny Bairstow (139 off 92) and Alex Hales (147 off 92) scored centuries. England posted a mammoth total of 481/6 in their 50 overs. Chasing a big target, the Men in Yellow didn't have another choice. They went hard but couldn't keep the run rate under control. As a result, Australia were bowled out for 239 and England won that match by 242 runs.

1. England (498/4) against Netherlands at Amstelveen

The latest and the highest total came in the ongoing match against the Netherlands at VRA Cricket Ground, Amstelveen. The Netherlands won the toss and asked England to bat first. However, Jason Roy got out after scoring one run, but the next three batters scored a century each.

Philip Salt (122 off 93), Dawid Malan (125 off 109) and Jos Buttler (162 off 70) helped England post 498/4. Liam Livingstone came in the end and smashed 66* off 22 balls. England broke their own record of 481 and crated a new record in ODI history.
