Rishabh Pant picks his dream T20I team; leaves out Virat Kohli or Suryakumar Yadav

The ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia has been one of the best editions so far. It has given a lot of tremendous performances since the start of the tournament. However, there have been a few players who went on to perform miraculously in the competition.

Speaking of the best performers, two names certainly come to mind, namely Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. These two have done the bulk of the scoring for India in a tough situation and have helped the Men in Blue reach the knockout stage.

And, under the current format, these two will undoubtedly be the only ones on any dream T20I team. But guess what? Star Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has some different thoughts. Pant has recently picked his dream T20I XI and has ignored both Indian superstars.

In a discussion on a show with the ICC, Pant has named the first five players who will feature in his dream T20I team. He has picked English captain Jos Buttler along with all-rounder Liam Livingstone in this team.

He has also kept himself in his first five picks. Speaking of the bowlers, Pant has named Indian ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Afghanistan superstar Rashid Khan as the main bowlers in his dream T20I first five picks.

He said, "The first five players that I would pick in a T20 XI for my side are... Jos Buttler. And Rashid, I love him and he can contribute with the bat too. Because I'm choosing this team, I have to be in it."

The Indian wicketkeeper further said that he loves watching Livigstone bat, and there is no doubt that Bumrah will be in the team. Pant is currently with the Indian team for the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.

He hasn't had much chance, but he played in the last group game against Zimbabwe at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Although he couldn't do much and got out on a 5-ball 3, he is likely to feature in the team against England in the semi-final on Thursday.
