"We don't have enough money to pick him"- Glenn Maxwell's epic reaction when asked Suryakumar Yadav to play in BBL

Suryakumar Yadav is currently in red-hot form and is scoring runs in almost every game. Although the game has seen many batsmen score runs consistently, the best part about Suryakumar is the rate at which he scores runs.

That is why the 32-year-old is the No. 1 ranked T20I batter in the world at the moment. He finished the 2022 T20 World Cup as the competition's third-highest run scorer. SKY scored 239 runs in six innings at a staggering strike rate of 189.68.

He carried his form into the three-match T20I series against New Zealand and smashed a 49-ball century in the second T20I, scoring an unbeaten 111 off 51 balls with 11 fours and 7 sixes. As a result, he ended up winning the "Man of the Series" award for the series.

With his consistency, the Indian star is getting praise from all over the world. Veteran Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell also lauded the 32-year-old. In an interview on "The Grade Cricketer," Maxwell said that he didn't know about that game earlier but later checked the scorecard and sent the picture to Aaron Finch.

He also added that SKY is playing on a totally different level as compared to other batters. Then, Maxwell also revealed that after checking the scorecard of the second T20 between India and New Zealand, he watched the highlights and was just "embarrassed" at how well SKY was batting and that no one else can match him at the moment.

However, when asked whether Suryakumar might get a big deal in the upcoming Big Bash League draft, he said, "We don't have enough money. There is no chance. We will have to sack every player and the sack every contracted player of Cricket Australia(laughs)."

Notably, Suryakumar is also part of the Indian ODI squad that will take on New Zealand in a three-match series starting on Friday. Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team.
