Ian Bishop selects his fantasy XI for IPL 2020; leaves out Dhoni, Kohli, and AB de Villiers

West Indian legend Ian Bishop will always be remembered for his excellent bowling performances on the cricket field. After retirement, Bishop has become a cricket expert, and he also works as a commentator regularly.

Currently, he is a part of the commentary panel of IPL 2020. Following the trend of all commentators, Bishop selected his best fantasy XI of the season. Surprisingly, the Caribbean legend had no place for the Royal Challengers Bangalore stars Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in the team.

Also, the Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni and the Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma did not get a spot in the best fantasy XI of Ian Bishop. Here are the names present in his XI.

For the wicket-keeper’s job, Bishop went with the Kings XI Punjab skipper KL Rahul. The right-handed batsman from Karnataka is the number one batsman in the race to win the Orange Cap this year. He named CSK star Faf du Plessis as Rahul’s opening partner.

The middle-order comprised some upcoming Indian batsmen like Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer. Kieron Pollard was the captain of this fantasy XI. Although Hardik Pandya cannot bowl in IPL 2020, Bishop selected him as the second all-rounder of his team.

He preferred to opt for more bowlers as Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Yuzvendra Chahal found a place in his XI. It is noteworthy that all of these names are present on the bowlers’ leaderboard of IPL 2020.

Ian Bishop’s best fantasy XI for IPL 2020:

KL Rahul (wk), Faf du Plessis, Surya Kumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Kieron Pollard (c), Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Kagiso Rabada, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah.

Looking at the recent form of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, they could have possibly gained a place ahead of Hardik Pandya in this XI because Hardik is not 100% fit.
