Meet Ben Curran - the sibling of Tom and Sam Curran

The Curran brothers - Tom and Sam have made a name for themselves with their excellent performances on the cricket field. Both brothers are all-rounders. While Tom Curran bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace, Sam Curran is a left-handed batsman, who bowls left-arm pace.

Both brothers participated in IPL 2020, and played against each other. Tom was a part of the Rajasthan Royals team, whereas Sam played for the Chennai Super Kings. Very few fans might know that Tom and Sam have another brother named Ben Curran.

Unlike Tom and Sam, Ben has not yet made it to the England cricket team. Ben followed his father’s footsteps and played for Northamptonshire in county cricket. Last month, he decided to return to his father's birthplace Zimbabwe and play first-class cricket in the African country.

While the two Curran brothers are all-rounders, Ben Curran is a top-order batsman who is 24 years old. He has played cricket for the Marylebone Cricket Club Young Cricketers team, Northamptonshire, and Northamptonshire 2nd XI.

Ben’s full name is Benjamin Jack Curran. He is a left-handed batsman, who can bowl right-arm off-breaks also. He made his domestic cricket debut in 2018.

So far, Ben has scored 927 runs in 18 first-class matches. Talking about his record in List-A games, the 24-year-old has aggregated 102 runs in three innings. In T20s, Ben has scored 54 runs in five innings. He is yet to take a wicket in any form of the game.

Speaking of his domestic career in Zimbabwe, Ben Curran plays for the Rocks cricket team. He played his first match against the Tuskers, where the Rocks emerged victorious by 10 wickets.

In the first innings, Ben scored 35 runs off 87 deliveries, while in the second innings, he opened and remained unbeaten on 35. It will be interesting to see if Ben Curran could break into the international arena soon.
