Sam Curran reacts after CSK edit title win photo and insert him in heart-winning gesture
Sam Curran was ruled out of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League during the United Arab Emirates leg of the competition. Curran is also set to miss the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 matches for the England cricket team because of that injury.
However, even without their star overseas all-rounder Sam Curran, the Chennai Super Kings team managed to become the winners of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League.
The Super Kings suffered their last three league matches in IPL 2021 in Sam Curran’s absence. It seemed like the Chennai-based franchise would struggle in the playoffs without their main English pace-bowling all-rounder.
However, some brilliant performances from Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Shardul Thakur and Robin Uthappa ensured that the Chennai Super Kings first defeated the Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 1 match and then beat the Kolkata Knight Riders in the finale to win the championship.
Chennai Super Kings posted a heart-touching edited picture after winning the trophy
Sam Curran was not in the dressing room when the Chennai Super Kings defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders to become 4-time IPL winners. However, the Super Kings showed a sweet gesture and edited a photo of Sam with the team celebrating the trophy win.
They posted that picture on Instagram, and received the following reply from Sam Curran:
“Special, Thank You.”

"I absolutely loved my time with Chennai this season. The boys are doing extremely well. It hasn't really sunk in but I am leaving the team. We are in a fantastic space. The boys are playing really good cricket,” Sam Curran had said after the news of him being ruled out of IPL 2021. He will be keen to be a part of the celebrations later.
