Sheldon Jackson's deleted tweet goes viral after being ignored for SL tour

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian team squad that will travel to Sri Lanka for the upcoming limited-overs series against the neighbors, which will begin from July.

While senior pros of the Indian team are away in England for the upcoming World Test Championship Final followed by the Test series against England, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced a 25 player squad for the series against Sri Lanka.

Many new faces got called up to the squad, while the senior players who are not part of the Test squad in England right now have also been included in the team.

But there are still many players who might have deserved a chance didn't make it to the team, and one prominent example is Sheldon Jackson. Sheldon Jackson has consistently performed in the domestic arena. With Rishabh Pant and Wriddhiman Saha, India's two best keepers with the Test squad in England, he was very hopeful of making it to the team this term, but when the team was announced, it was a heartbreak for Jackson, and he expressed his frustration with a heartbreak emoji on his social media.

He was also part of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League but hadn't got many chances to impress.

Sheldon Jackson Stats

In 76 first-class matches, he has scored 5633 runs at an average of 49.4, while in 60 List-A games, he has scored 2096 runs and 1240 runs in T20 cricket. His IPL record stands at 38 runs in 4 matches with a 122 strike rate, but he has mostly been a backup for his IPL franchises.
