Mayanti Langer gives a fitting reply to Times Now for using 'Replacement' term

One of the famous anchors in recent times - Mayanti Langer will not be seen as an anchor in the upcoming 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The reason is none other than she and her husband - Indian cricketer Stuart Binny blessed with a baby boy. While the official broadcaster has confirmed the news, the ace anchor took to her social media and revealed why fans are going to miss her this season.

Mayanti Langer shared a picture of them and thanked the official broadcaster for their support during her tough time. She wrote on Twitter, “So quite a few of you have reached out, and many are speculating. For the past five years, my family at Star Sports has given me the incredible privilege of fronting their most high profile events. In fact, they supported me when I needed them the most. When I was pregnant with my son. They made several adjustments to ensure that I was comfortable hosting till I was 20 weeks/5 months pregnant and would have continued doing so had IPL 2020 gone on as scheduled. Stuart and I were blessed by the birth of our baby boy almost six weeks ago. Life has changed for the better.”

She added, "So I’m going to love watching the IPL @StarSportsIndia all the best to the team @jatinsapru @suhailchandhok @cricketaakash @SanjanaGanesan @ProfDeano @scottbstyris @BrettLee_58 @Sanjog_G and the full gang!!"

However, things went wrong when the famous Times Now used the term replacement in their tweet which didn't go well with Matanti who gave a fitting reply. She tweeted, "Hi @timesnowsports we don’t get replaced we get opportunities. Perhaps there is a valid non scandalous, non controversial reason. Care to reach out for a comment rather than speculating?"
