"Babar Azam Is Part Of Fab Four" - Wasim Akram Adds Pak Captain To The Elite List And Removes Two Notable Names

Wasim Akram On Babar Azam

Babar Azam is one of the batsmen in the game at the moment. He is also a good leader for Pakistan. Looking at his current form, former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram felt that Babar is part of the Fab Four right now.

The Fab Four of recent years

Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Kane Williamson and Joe Root have been a part of the Fab Four for a while now. Almost from the same batch, all these four batsmen did well for their teams. At times, they have single-handedly won games for their country and hence, they joined the elite list of the Fab Four. Not many players have been able to displace these batsmen from that list. However, Wasim Akram made two changes to this list.

Akram feels Babar is part of the Fab Four

Speaking to Sport 360, Wasim Akram said that Babar Azam is also a part of the Fab Four. Speaking about the Pakistani skipper, he said, "I love his work ethic, he is focused and he’s never satisfied with his performance and that’s a sign of a good leader." The left-arm seamer has worked with Babar Azam in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Akram said that Babar is part of the Fab Four. He was quoted telling, "And now he’s the part of Fab four. [Virat] Kohli, [David] Warner, [Joe] Root and Babar is now getting high on top. Kohli is up there with Babar."

Interestingly, Wasim has made two changes to the list. He has removed Steve Smith and Kane Williamson and included the names of David Warner and Babar Azam. Wasim Akram said that Babar is right at the top of this list along with Virat Kohli. Interestingly, Virat himself has not been in the best of form recently while Warner has only recently come back to form.
