Hence, both teams have automatically qualified for the tournament. USA is building a strong squad and the likes of Corey Anderson and Unmukt Chand are being prepared to represent the nation by then.

2) Imran Tahir

Imran Tahir is also one of the T20 World Cup aspirants who are playing in Legends League Cricket. It needs to be noted that South Africa did not consider him for the 2021 T20 World Cup. In January 2022, Tahir expressed his interest to represent South Africa at the 2022 T20 World Cup. However, even that did not happen as he was not selected again. Yes, he might on the wronger side of age but then if there is an injury crisis to any of the spinners, Tahir is one readymade option available for the Proteas. Considering he plays across the globe, with his experience, at a big stage, Tahir can be a useful inclusion. It might not happen but we cannot rule out such surprises.
